The Instant Pot is the best and easiest way to cook perfect hard boiled eggs every time. With this recipe for Instant Pot Boiled Eggs, you’ll get easy-to-peel eggs with tender whites and creamy yolks.

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place eggs on an egg rack or the trivet that comes with the Instant Pot.
  2. Place 1 cup of water in the inner pot of the Instant Pot.
  3. Seal the lid, and set the pressure cooker to cook 5 minutes on manual/high pressure.
  4. After the cook time has elapsed, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes.
  5. Once 5 minutes have gone by, carefully release any remaining pressure in the pressure cooker. Use tongs to remove the eggs from the pressure cooker, and place them in an ice bath.
  6. After the eggs have cooled down in the ice bath -- about 5 to 10 minutes, peel them and enjoy!

Notes

For Soft Boiled Eggs: Cook 3 minutes on manual/high pressure, then use a quick release. Place the eggs into an ice bath to stop the cooking.

Peel the eggs after chilling in the ice bath.
